RESUMO
Este trabalho é o resultado de um levantamento das artes e métodos de pesca utilizados na lagoa de Óbidos, dos principais recursos alvo e ainda dos portos de pesca frequentados pelas embarcações da pesca artesanal local.

São caracterizados os portos, indicado o número de pescadores profissionais a operar na Lagoa, o número de embarcações licenciadas pela Direcção-Geral das Pescas e Aquicultura em 2006 e as principais espécies desembarcadas em lota. São também descritas, sumariamente, as artes de pesca usadas na Lagoa e apresentados os respectivos planos técnicos .

 
ABSTRACT
The present study characterises the fishing methods and gears used by the Portuguese fishermen in the Óbidos Lagune and the fishing ports used by the local artisanal fishery.

Characteristics include the type of ports, the aproximate number of fishermen and vessels licensed by the "Direcção-Geral das Pescas e Aquicultura (Fishing Authority)" in 2006, the main species landed in the auction, a general description of the fishing gears and their respective technical details.
